Did you bring your calculator? You're gonna need it.
Summary:
The idea is fairly simple and straight forward: quickly gain extra +1/+1 counters with Harden Scales to create large, formidable creatures. Flying and/or Trample provide the evasion needed to create a swift win condition.
Creatures:
All of the deck's creatures either enter the battlefield with counters or gain them very quickly, causing Avatar of the Resolute to enter as a huge bomb. Featuring both Trample and Reach, Avatar of the Resolute is the key creature in the deck. Not fair behind is the Managorger Hydra, which demands an answer right away. If left unchecked, it becomes a monster. Abzan Falconer potentially gives all creatures invaluable evasion in the form of Flying. Life gain provided by Abzan Battle Priest helps to offset any early damage taken while the deck establishes a stable board state. Servant of the Scale serves mainly as a trigger for Avatar of the Resolute and as a chump blocker with the upside of keeping it's counters on the battlefield. Endless One is an efficient creature that can be played on any turn. It benefits from Harden Scales, Abzan Falconer, and helps set up Avatar of the Resolute. Hangarback Walker is an ever-growing, token-producing threat that fits well in this deck. Den Protector is used usually mid to late game to get needed cards out of the graveyard and back into my hand.
Non-Creatures:
The absolute star card of the entire deck is Hardened Scales. Though not necessary to create a win condition, the extra counter it provides rapidly accelerates creature growth. Dromoka's Command helps answers a few threats including Burn, Enchantment combos, and creatures. Valorous Stance takes care of any creatures that are out of reach of Dromoka's Command fight ability. Stasis Snare eliminates threats like Hangarback Walker, Deathmist Raptor or Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger.
Land:
This two color deck has a simple mana base. Windswept Heath and Canopy Vista provide versatility.
Sideboard:
Surge of Righteousness comes in against Mardu, Goblins or Aggro Red. Hallowed Moonlight handles token decks or re-animation graveyard shenanigans. Feat of Resistance helps against burn and exile effects. Tragic Arrogance allows me to clear the battlefield against Allies, Elves or Aggro. Inspiring Call provides much needed draw and indestructibility to keep my creatures on the battlefield. It comes in against control or removal heavy decks.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
