DECK PLANThe idea of this deck is to take full advantage of Shaman of the Pack ability by getting alot of cheap elves out early to deal alot of damage when shaman of the pack enters. Most elves are 1 or 2 CMC in this deck so chucking elves out early shouldn't be an issue.
WIN CONS Obviously the main win con of this deck is Shaman of the Pack, however if you keep Deathrite Shaman alive, it can also be good enough to win you the game. Also if Nissa, Vastwood Seer
manages to flip early and doesn't get removed, the land advantage can be too much and 6 6/6's can be hard to deal with for the majority.
REMOVALObviously you can't expect your opponent/s to have nothing of value. Therefore cards like Eyeblight's Ending and Lys Alana Scarblade are good inclusions to eliminate your opponents threats. Discarding a elf card will be easy to do and considering how many elves will be on the board, Lys Alana Scarblade should be good enough to almost remove any creature.
MANA DORKSTo get out a lot of elves early, you can't expect to do it just with lands. Therefore, mana dorks like Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves and Elves of Deep Shadow are crucial to getting out elves early. After all elves are basically your win route!
VALUE CARDSDeathrite Shaman- Hates on graveyard strategy, can provide mana, drain and give life. Try and get in opening hand..Nissa, Vastwood Seer
- provides a bit of ramp and can be a win con with its ultimate. Feel free to play a playset but I'm on a budgetShaman of the Pack- main win con for the deck. Play set is needed really for consistency Ambush Commander- makes all lands elves just feeding to Shaman of the Pack. Allows the win to happen faster and more often
CARD ADVANTAGEA single Elvish Visionary provides enough card advantage to keep the deck going steadily. That's why a 4 of is included
MANA BASEI'm just including basic lands as I'm on a budget however feel free to add duals or whatever you want
CONCLUSIONThis deck is a fast paced deck and will cope OK with the medium to long game. However, try to get as many elves at as possible and play shaman of the pack to drain for as much life as you can. Any suggestions would be great!!
