My new and improved Simic, Blue Devotion. Thanks to SkitZaY for all the advice in building it. Advice is welcome and appreciated. At the moment the biggest problem i'm having is against Mizzium Mortars, so any ideas of how to deal with it in particular will be great.

I'd love to hear what you think!

Here is the rundown on the deck:

Creatures:

Cloudfin Raptor: Our one drop, playing this guy on turn 1 will allow us to start swinging in the sky early, and he can even do some work later if he comes down when we have Master Biomancer.

Frostburn Weird : A stellar two drop, this guy can function effectively on either offence or defense, and provides us with two devotion.

Tidebinder Mage: Most of the time this guy is just a 2/2 for two, but that's OK when he's representing two blue pips, and sometimes we'll get that extra upside.

Thassa, God of the Sea: The almighty sea god joins us to smite our enemies. She can smooth out our draws and make our unblockable, and with all our devotion she isn't hard to turn on. The game doesn't last long when you hit with a 5/5 unblockable every turn.

Nightveil Specter : 3 devotion is not to be scoffed at, and this guy isn't half bad on his own. A 2/3 flyer is fine, and if he gives us some card advantage now and again, that's great.

Master of Waves : The two four drops are the all stars of this deck. What this guy does is pretty self explanatory, he comes down and makes a bunch of 2/1's, who needs to be unblockable when you've got ten attackers?

Master Biomancer: This guy effectively gives all our creatures that come down after him +2/+2. This combos great with Master of Waves , making the tokens 4/3's, and they wont die if the Master leaves the table.

AEtherling: This guys just ends the game. He's near impossible to deal with and can easily push through damage in the board stall.

Non-Creature Spells:

Rapid Hybridization: This card is our answer to most of the big threats we face, such as Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Viskopa . Especially fantastic to cast in response to a monstrosity activation.

Cyclonic Rift: This card is great in either the early or late game. Early on, you can use it to bump those pesky heroic creatures, or in the late game clear their whole board and swing for the win.

Thassa's Rebuff : This card is great for dealing with expensive removal cards such Mizzium Mortars, or can be used to stop one of our opponents main threats.

Fated Infatuation: This card is fantastic, it lets you instant speed clone any of your creatures, providing surprise blockers or producing even more elementals and larger Master Biomancer's.

Sideboard:

Mistcutter Hydra & Skylasher : These cards are for the mirror or control match up, both featuring immunity to counters and protection from blue.

Pithing Needle: For those annoying Planeswalkers and AEtherling.

Unravel the Aether : We shall reject all other gods but Thassa, and this is the card to do it. If they have a god we can't deal with, this card will be brought in.

Simic Charm: I like the versatility the charm provides, like Cyclonic Rift it can be used to stall annoying creatures, push through a few points of extra damage, or save our Masters from removal.
