Sideboard

Mono-green devotion does not do well in a world full of Doom Blade , Ultimate Price and Supreme Verdict... thankfully soon those cards will be disappearing... don't get me wrong I love those cards as i've been playing esper control for the last 9 months but its time for a change. I quite fancy casting some fatty creatures and beating my opponent in the face...

The main power of this deck comes from it's ability to ramp early into large creatures or planes walkers. An ideal first 4 turns goes something like:

Turn 1: Forest into Elvish Mystic

Turn 2: Forest into Burning-Tree Emissary + either more BTEs and a Voyaging Satyr

Turn 3: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and depending on devotion you can drop Nissa, Worldwaker and Polukranus, World Eater or Arbor Colossus or Hydra Broodmaster or Garruk, Caller of Beasts

Games regularly seem to see me with a large board state in the first few turns. I've playtested a lot and the only deck I ever struggle with is control in game one but if I get Soul of New Phyrexia online before turn 4 then they are in for a world of hurt.
