Relatively standard Animar EDH deck with a lot of creature ramp and high converted-mana cost creatures.

Took awhile for me to find a mana curve that felt really good. Building a deck like this seems pretty straightforward in terms of cheating in a lot of high CMC creatures, but it's also important to have a lot of cheap value creatures that help you ramp and provide card advantage in order to build Animar up, recover from board wipes (which happens a lot in multiplayer games), and overall just make the deck a lot more resilient to interaction.

Recently subbed in Swan Song in order to provide a little bit of extra protection against wrath effects, to go along with Glen Elendra, Draining Whelk, and Mystic Snake. Will likely try to find room for Pact of Negation sometime soon, likely subbing out Evolutionary Leap as that was a budget option until I obtained a copy of Survival of the Fittest. May also consider running Fauna Shaman instead or in addition at some point.
