Sooo after tweeking, tweeking and twerking I think I've found the best iteration of this deck to date.
I took out my Daemogoth woeeater, my cauldron and some fluff to keep it at 4 Daemogoth Titans, took out my deathless nights, and focus more on sedgemore with in conjunction with vito, dina, plumb the forbidden and a bunch of pest.
I was running 4 ilysian caryatids but the ended up just being a dead draw most of the time when typically you only need 4 mana for this deck to be able to do damage.
I started running culling rituals for a few reason. First a lot of decks are running aggro with token generation, week low drops and it's easy to wipe a board with... Or a specific 8/8 hexproof kraken. It can also help if you have a bunch of pest out to trigger dina or nito while giving you insane amounts of mana to drop Beledros, garuuk, or even a blood in the snow.
I still run 2 blood in the snows because again it's a great feeling to wipe the bored and bring back nito or dinner and still get the life gain/loss from all your pest dying.
I'm debating adding a couple deadly brews to this deck but still love my mortality spears, you can village rites a pest and cast it for 3, save 2 mana, chunk block with a pest and cast it on their turn for 2. What ever ya gotta do and you can get rid of anything, pesky o rings, sagas or what ever.
I was running a few different creatureanand things for control but I decided to just stick to adding more card draw, between plumb the forbidden, village rites search for blex and even Callous blood mage, keeping cards in hand and pulling out the cards you need can be really easy with this deck.
I decided to run 2 callous bloodmages actually cause for one it can create a pest to village rites, chunk block or sac with Daemogoth if your actually using him as an attacker. You can draw a card. Or if your opponent has a lot of graveyard play he can act as a tormonds crypt.
This deck can still have a little trouble with flying so angel decks require some careful timing with your removal. Thankfully hunt for specimens can really help pull that extra removal when you need it.
I also love how easy this deck allows you to Ult garruk, you can sac with dina, sac both wolves with plumb the forbidden, village rites, what ever Ult him and still spawn more wolves.
Daemogoth is still probably my favorite card, he is big, he forces people to use removal taking the heat off trying to avoid a sedgemore being counters, it's not hard to swing with him due to the amount of pest you can spawn. Use nito to give him life link and regardless he's doing 11 damage to the opposing player. You can sac him for 11 pest and drop blex to swing for 22 or just sac him to make an army. But I feel he's one of the most underrated cards right now cause even mirror matches I never see him played.
Anyway I hope you all like my latest iteration of the deck. I finally thing I worked out most of the kinks. However I've debated making room for a 4 sedgemore, or a couple deadly brews. If I were to make a traditional side bored I'd definitely add 2 culling rituals to it. 4 [Destiny Spinner] to go against heavy counter decks. And maybe 4 deadly brews to add a 2 drop removal for decks that just try to get an ugin or liliana out.
I will say culling ritual has become one of my favorites for dimir mill since the crab, and their rogues are typical no more then 2 mana and if times right you can remove their whole bored and use the mana to drop the threats youve been saving in your hand for just such a moment of opportunity
Also I've added a polukranos for a few reasons. Forced fights on unwanted creatures, it can be saced for 6-12 pest and if it gets milled, discarded or what ever he comes back bigger and better then ever. He's also a threat that typically forces removal and can be played in place of Daemogoth to try and force removal before you drop in the heavy hitter or sac fodder for tend the pest depending on how the game is going
Hope you all like my Standard Pest Control deck. It just made me happy to make this deck considering I work in pest control for a living and I have a deck to match
