The Goose Mother and Doubling Season are the core of this deck with all the other cards being based around helping them thrive. The Goose Mother is a flexible early game creature that can come out as a 2/2 flier for 2 or a 3/3 flier with a food token for 3. By mid to late game we hopefully have Doubling Season and so The Goose Mother can be a 14/14 flier that enters with 12 food tokens for only 6 mana.

Rishkar, Peema Renegade is a key component of our deck that gives all creatures with +1/+1 counters the ability to tap for green mana. Lisette, Dean of the Root   provides us the means to put +1/+1 counters on all of our creatures and give them trample whenever we crack a food token or whenever Teething Wurmlet gets triggered. Thrummingbird is a cheap flier that can proliferate the tokens that we will be accumulating onto our creatures to continually apply pressure, which will also be doubled by Doubling Season .

Trail of Crumbs can fill our hand with permanents whenever we sacrifice a food token. Carnivorous Canopy is nice removal that can proliferate if we destroy anything with cmc of 3 or less. A trick we can do is to use Carnivorous Canopy on a Food token to proc Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender twice. Inscription of Abundance is a great multipurpose spell that can act as removal, lifegain, and/or a means to get counters onto creatures such as Gilded Goose and Thrummingbird.

We have plenty of food generators in the deck such as Gilded Goose, The Goose Mother, Trail of Crumbs, Revive the Shire, and Gingerbread Cabin that will all get doubled by Doubling Season. Teething Wurmlet and Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender grow in size whenever food enters or leaves the battlefield respectively, with the former giving us some lifegain and the latter providing us the ability to scry. Wicked Wolf can turn our food into counters and briefly give it indestructible.
