The creatures revolve around receiving +1/+1 and gaining combat abilities based off of having at least 1 +1/+1 counter.

The only odd thing about this deck is Magus of the Disk. He is used with Inspiring Call for some great draw and board wipe, leaving your strong army intact. Gavony Township helps to ensure the turn before to get a +1/+1 counter on each of your creatures, including Magus.
