Jaya Ballard is one of my favorite Planeswalkers. Most of what I know about her comes from flavor text and the MTGSalvation Wiki. This deck started out as Mono-Red Burn. Then it evolved into Jaya Flavor. Soon after, Chandra became one of my favorite 'Walkers, and Chandra was taught at the school founded by Jaya. What better way to do Jaya flavor than Chandra Typal? It is Jaya's deck, but Chandra Typal.
