Ashiok Mill

The comprehensive guide to play this very gimmicky deck. (And how to not make friends)

The Deck Itself

Welcome to your new favourite mill deck. This mill deck does revolve around many others you would see in normal Commander-esc games. But with a twist. One of the many differences is the 24 copies of Persistent Petitioners . This card lets you have any number of them in your deck, thus making this Advisor Tribal? Who cares this deck is all for fun.

The deck has other mill conditions like Fleet Swallower , Fraying Sanity , and everyone's favourite mill creature Consuming Aberration .

The deck itself has Ashiok, Dream Render as your Oathbreaker and Glimpse the Unthinkable as her signature spell.

Now that you know about the deck let us learn how to play it.
As you know, Glimpse the Unthinkable is Ashiok's signature spell. You may be asking why though? Well, with the low cmc of two you can mill 10 cards, which is already a 1/5 of their remaining deck. This gives us a cheap option to mill if our Persistent Petitioners are being put into the grave left and right.
As we have 24 Persistent Petitioners , you will be drawing a lot of them. This is why the deck runs so little lands. But if needed, we have the bigger spells. But we should almost always be able to get our 4 petitioners out and start milling for insane amounts. One change I would make if you want to be more a cool dude, is taking out 2 Persistent Petitioner's for a copy of Paradox Engine and a copy of Temple Bell . This lets you keep drawing and untapping a mana rock or two and playing all your cards and milling your opponents out infinitely.
As explained in the above accordion, Milling out with petitioners is the slow way to win. So there are the quicker, more fun ways.
Fraying Sanity and Fleet Swallower . This is one of the most obvious win cons. You would attack with Fleet and mill for half; however, on end step the same opponent would mill the other half of their library.
Consuming Aberration . Again another very obvious win con. This creature can swing in and do insane amounts of damage. By Turn 5 when you can play it it could already be above a 10/10
