So, I've recently jumped into Pioneer after taking 6+ years off from magic. I jumped back into everything not knowing anything about Pioneer or having ever played control. I originally played this deck at a recent RCQ and played 4/5 of my matchups against Izzet Phoenix. Top 8 included 3 Phoenix, 2 Monogreen, 1 red aggro, 1 mono white humans, and 1 Rakdos Vamps. I needed some more contention against decks that were aggressive and just simply out paced my ability to counter and stall, so I thought of this combination of cards. It should offer me better tempo control and board presence, while still allowing me to counter and delay to end-game. Thoughts? Suggestions?
