Your goal in this deck is to either get The Locust God out and overwhelm with a swarm of Locusts, or, alternatively, forcibly cause your opponents to draw out their decks. These two routes are very easy to take.

The Locust Route:As you already must know, this route is focused on card draw with The Locust God in play. Each card you draw gets you a locust. This route is enhanced by such enchantments as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Kindred Discovery, Kiki-Jiki / Deceiver Exarch / Pestermite infinite combo, and Throne of the God-Pharaoh. Purphoros will take down your enemies as you build up your swarm. Kindred Discovery will draw out your deck (use only as a last resort) and give you more locusts. Kiki-Jiki combo is meant to be the potential danger if The Locust God is in the command zone. Finally, Throne allows you to attack and kill just through the use of your tapped locusts.

The Mill Route:This route is focused on forced draw instead of mill. The only mill focused card in the deck is Sphinx's Tutelage. Forced draw is more of a danger though. Thanks to Forced Fruition and Jin-Gitaxias, Core Auger you can cause your opponents to hope to topdeck a response but fear having to discard anything useful because of it. Yes, I know, you are giving your foes the ammunition to try to kill you, but on the other hand, you are the only one with the ability to respond. Who cares if they counter your spell if it can be copied by Swarm Intelligence. And what could be better than triple casting Fateful Showdown off the top of your deck while cycling your cards with Arjun, the Shifting Flame all while your Tutelage removes their decks.
