If the Gruul Monsters decks of last years Standard were a muscle car, looking to attack straight through your opponent with incredible speed and power, then this Temur Aggro deck is more of a Ferrari, looking to go under your opponent with tempo before finishing them off with an incredible suite of burn spells. Let's go over some of the card choices.

Mana Dorks:Rattleclaw Mystic is a four of because of the flexibility offered by it's morph cost, as well of the velocity we gain from the mana it offers. 2 power is not irrelevant and attacking with a Rattleclaw Mystic is not uncommon.

Elvish Mystic is very bread and butter mana acceleration and that's just what we're looking for.

Early Beaters:

At the two-drop slot we have Heir of the Wilds , a ruthlessly efficient attacker and blocker who eats Sylvan Caryatid and Courser of Kruphix for breakfast. Remember that his ferocious ability will trigger off of himself if he is pumped by the next guy in this deck.

Boon Satyr has seen plenty of play since it's release last September and it fits perfectly in our deck as an end-of-turn threat or huge enchantment buff.

If you're playing Temur, then Savage Knuckleblade is a four-of.

Feel free to swap a Boon Satyr with a Goblin Rabblemaster if you feel Abzan is big at your local store.

Four Drops: Ashcloud Phoenix has the most flexibility of any creature in our deck, seeing as it's a three, four, six, and nine drop. It is a great attacker and an underrated blocker who can singlehandedly win you a game. Curving two Phoenixes on turns three and four is almost always GG.

Polukranos, World Eater is very powerful against the Jeskai Tempo decks because he is so large and cheap. He trades the flexibility of an Ashcloud Phoenix for more overall power.
