enter image description here This is the first commander deck I've ever built. It started with Melek, Izzet Paragon as the commander and a few cards I had bought from Tcgplayer. Eventually, I got tired of Melek and decided to try Niv-Mizzet the Firemind (000) F out as the commander for a game. I never went back and have slowly upgraded the deck since then. Its fun, fast, and easy to play. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to leave a comment and if you like the deck, please remember to up-vote.

Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind = Infinite Draw/Damage

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Ophidian Eye = Infinite Draw/Damage

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Tandem Lookout = Infinite Draw/Damage

Mind Over Matter + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind = Infinite Draw/Damage (Discarding Kozilek, Butcher of Truth makes it truly infinite.)

Laboratory Maniac + Any Infinite draw combo = Win the game

Consecrated Sphinx + Any Wheel of Fortune effect = At least 21 cards. (14 More for every additional player.)

Alhammarret's Archive + Consecrated Sphinx + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind = Lots of draw between turns.

Long-Term Plans + Sensei's Divining Top = Tutor a card.

The deck burns through its cards until a game winning combo can be achieved or you have enough cards in hand to effectively control the game. Use counters like Cryptic Command and Force of Will to protect your stuff and cards like Cyclonic Rift and Blasphemous Act to get rid of other people's stuff. Lots of low mana cantrips like Ponder and Preordain are useful for ping damage and to dig through the deck a little deeper. Wheel effects like Time Spiral, Day's Undoing and just straight up Wheel of Fortune are great for exchanging a bad hand for a new one or simply refilling your hand when it's low. Hall of the Bandit Lord, Anger, and Swiftfoot Boots give Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind haste so that you can go to town the turn he hits the battlefield. Merchant Scroll, Mystical Tutor, and Long-Term Plans tutor the things you might need to deal with other peoples things. Gilded Drake and Phyrexian Metamorph cause sharing is caring and Homeward Path cause no body likes a thief. The deck is built to Machine Gun your opponents to death and maybe draw a few cards along the way. This deck has a tendency to win quickly and will sometimes receive hate from other players who know about it's combos. If infinite combos aren't your thing or aren't overly appreciated in your play group then you can sub in cards like Sphinx's Tutelage , Leyline of Anticipation , and Future Sight for those infinite combo pieces. You could even sub in more counter spells like Rewind or Counterspell to be the control player at the table.
The Deck has come a long way and has even further to go. It started as a Melek, Izzet Paragon deck with a storm strategy and has evolved into what it is now. The deck is far from finished as I plan to some cards I can't afford at the moment, like Volcanic Island, and the foil Dack Fayden. Even the Champs Promo Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind was gift from a friend of mine. It still needs a lot of work until it is at the level I want it to be and any suggestions you might have are more then welcome. Nevertheless, this deck is, by far, my favorite off all my commander decks and is the reason I've grown to love both Izzet, and its mysterious, omniscient commander Niv-Mizzet.
