I've never made a sideboard. This deck WORKS well for me, but I don't want to screw it up with a weak sideboard. Please look at this and give me a suggestion of a sideboard theme and what it would replace so I can use what I have available to fit the bill. Thank you.
BREAKDOWN...
What follows is the main purpose for each card, not accounting for its other abilities.
1 Vraska the Unseen
Makes use of game ending direct damage via assassin tokens. Works well with the deck's ability to discard opponent creatures leaving him/her wide open for a direct hit.
1 Hydra Broodmaster
1 Polukranos, World Eater
The deck's power hitters. Both make use of Monstrosity X along with whatever instances of exalted have triggered.
1 Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis
1 Sublime Archangel
1 Guardians of Akrasa
1 Aven Squire
1 Duty-Bound Dead
The deck's source of exalted instances. Makes the current strongest creature into a power hitter.
2 Path of Bravery
Adds even more +1+1 to go along with exalted instances. Also creates a good source of life gain during attacks.
1 Athreos, God of Passage
1 Sun Titan
1 Treasured Find
1 Elixir of Immortality
2 Font of Return
The deck's source of creature (or other permanents) reanimation and library protection. Speaks for itself.
1 Ajani, Mentor of Heroes
1 Staff of the Death Magus
1 Death Grasp
2 Dying Wish
1 Underworld Coinsmith
Used mostly for lifegain. Whether by first dealing damage, protecting a creature, playing a land-spell-enchantment, or building a plainswalker's loyalty, these cards will almost guarantee lifegain in some way.
1 Crowned Ceratok
Adds trample to anything with +1+1 counters. Works well with Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, Monstrosity X, and Voracious Wurm.
2 Voracious Wurm
This creature will increase it's strength based off of the lifegain for that turn. Best used directly after Ajani, Mentor of Heroes's 100 point lifegain.
1 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
1 Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts
1 Mortify
1 Unmake
1 Divine Verdict
2 Celestial Flare
2 Doom Blade
The deck's source of removing creatures and enchantments from the field. Some can only be triggered during attacking phases.
4 Pacifism
A perfect way to render a creature useless. Goes great with a negative effect like Stab Wound.
2 Stab Wound
Combined with Pacifism, a great way to turn a creature into a countdown on your opponent's life counter. A double instance makes a serious problem.
This deck has tested well against the other decks I have (direct damage deck and jujitsu deck). I am looking for a sideboard THEME, please do not suggest actual cards for a sideboard... I am looking for a theme that I can use the cards I already have for. If there are any flaws that stand out in this deck or easy to spot weaknesses please tell me. So far this looks to be a strong deck to me. Thanks in advance!
