You're gonna wanna clean yourself good before this deck bends you over. Kind of.

This is a very much neutered (in the sense of not combo happy) Mayael the Anima creature-feature. Being the first commander deck I built, this holds a special place in my heart.

The decktech is self-explanatory if you read the activated ability of the commander. The highlights are as such:

Hero's Blade allows Mayael the Anima to become a 5/5 on turn three when played, giving her burn protection from everything from Mizzium Mortars to Lightning Bolt. It also allows for other legendary creatures throughout the deck to swing for even greater sums, while having a free equip cost on ETB.

Pyxis of Pandemonium is self explanatory, but allows a usual beater deck to become very political. It's up to your opponents to either let the Pyxis play out- to which end you might reveal an Avacyn or Iona, or maybe two forests, or to smash it, in which case you both risk some of your best cards possibly in permanent exile, as you don't get to know which cards you lost until either endgame, or until Pyxis is cracked. Lots of fun, and balanced cheating out.

Primal Surge is fun, but more importantly not a game ending card. Various spells are sprinkled throughout the deck to stop it from flipping the entire thing. Keeping the deck balanced, and the card fun as you'll never know how far you'll get. If you want, take the spells out, and just win off of 10 mana every time unless your opponent has a fog effect. I like to not keep all the eggs in one basket, myself.

Novablast Wurm, while kind of backwards towards the deck attitude is devilshly fun. Sometimes vital as well, when going against token decks. A flip from Mayael into this can be a lifesaving sacrifice, and even a bit of control if your opponent has no direct answer.

See the Unwritten is self explanatory, as is most of this deck. I find it quite enjoyable to use as well, as 6 mana is Mayael's cost of activation, and if she's killed you have a turn of respite to defend yourself with this, or even blow out your opponent if their only answer was to keep Mayael off the field before she could activate.

Legion's Initiative. Because how do YOU beat out, board wide mind you, effects like Wrath of God, or Merciless Eviction? By blinking in Red/White, of course! In addition to this amazing protection, this card gives buffs to all your R/W creatures. For two mana, early game it is easy to simply put out in preparation for Mayael, and in late game it can usually be set down alongside an activation of her.

Assemble the Legion is a very interesting card to see in a deck like this, but it isn't without warrant. While 5 mana is a bit of a doozy for a deck that inhales it, this card not only combats token decks without trample, but builds so quickly that going wide 5 turns after it's been played is not impossible. With Legion's Initiative this card becomes even more brutal.

Jester's Cap. Every once in a while, you find a deck that slaps yours in the face with 1 card. Cards like Ensnaring Bridge, Crawlspace, Sphere of Safety, and other pillowfort cards can make this deck (if you have yet to find trample) very, very sad. The cap is in here to early on help with just that problem, if your opponent hasn't already found it.

That's the basics of the deck! Any suggestions are more than welcome, and there are cards in here that are confusing as to why better cards don't go in over them- just ask if you have any questions on the creature choices, as some of them seem silly.
