The newest Modern hotness: Black Mold! A Golgari aggro/midrange deck that can outpower control decks and outlast aggressive decks!

There are two main "gameplans" for Black Mold: play creatures that are hard to remove, and play creatures that are too big for their costs. In the first category for this deck are cards like Bloodsoaked Champion , Deathless Knight , Strangleroot Geist and, to an extent, Treetop Village . On the other side, creatures that are extremely efficient mana-wise include Dreg Mangler , Knight of the Ebon Legion , Narnam Renegade , and Scavenging Ooze .

Putrid Leech is an all-star in this deck, as it is essentially a 2 mana 4/4 that can also dodge Lightning Bolt . Also amazing is Rancor , as it is extremely aggressive AND hard to get rid of, just like our creatures. Supernatural Stamina was something I was testing, but it was just so impressive every game that it quickly became a 4-of. The only other mainboard card is Dark Confidant , who shouldn't really need an explanation.
