Tana, the Bloodsower

Commander / EDH

Burger_1987

Tana, the Bloodsower is pretty bad ass solo. I always adored the card art and the mechanics around it.

This card gets even more bonkers in my playgroup where we don't play commander damage (yes I know but it makes for interesting and more grindy games). I'm pretty sure this will be gg quite quickly where one does play commander damage.

Because Tana, the Bloodsower profits off smashing face I have included some ways to get multiple attack phases. Aggravated Assault with Grand Warlord Radha being one and Breath of Fury with Hammer of Purphoros being the other.

The deck also caters for a different win con in the form of Godo, Bandit Warlord with Helm of the Host. I know for sure in playgroup Tana, the Bloodsower will either be stolen under their control or destroyed so many times that I can't afford the commander tax. It's how we usually deal with things. So because of that I included the removal you see on the list.

I honestly think this runs better than my The Locust God mainly because Tana, the Bloodsower joins the battle at an earlier stage, mostly 2 turns before my The Locust God. That makes a huge difference in getting an engine up and running.
