The goal is simple: win the game by giving your opponent an aneurysm.
A mere 14 card combo staring Abyssal Persecutor
+
Platinum Angel
, in order to shut the game down for everyone forever.
Indestructible Aura
is the featured card because he fucking rocks and this deck fucking rocks, so it fits.
How it works:
Play Leyline of Sanctity, Greater Auramancy, and Privileged Position . Now nothing can be targeted.
Play Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Now nothing can be destroyed.
Play Platinum Angel and Abyssal Persecutor. Now no one can win.
Play Dovescape. Now no one can do anything about it.
Linvala, Keeper of Silence for Vexing Shusher.
Tajuru Preserver for the Eldrazi.
Torpor Orb for
Scourge of Fleets
.
Ghost Quarter for Boseiju, Who Shelters All.
Rest in Peace for graveyard shenanigans like
False Prophet
.
Chalice of the Void at 0 for
Bane of the Living
.
Magus of the Disk
just to be an asshole.
Ruin the game for everyone in as little as 7 turns:
Turn 0: Free Leyline of Sanctity. This is dream land, after all.
Turn 1: Godless Shrine pay 2, Weathered Wayfarer, Chalice of the Void for 0.
Turn 2: Fetid Heath, Greater Auramancy
Turn 3: Wayfarer for Nykthos, Temple Garden pay 2, Torpor Orb
Turn 4: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Privileged Position
Turn 5: Ghost Quarter, Avacyn, Angel of Hope
Turn 6: Any land, Linvala, Keeper of Silence,
Magus of the Disk
, Abyssal Persecutor
Turn 7: Rest in Peace, Dovescape, Platinum Angel, Tajuru Preserver
Disclaimer: This deck is not meant to be competitive or even remotely playable. It is merely a thought exercise: is it possible to create a board state wherein it is impossible for anyone to win or lose? Bonus points for it being Modern legal, somehow. This assumes that the full combo down is down before anyone else is able to play any disruptive pieces. Once the full combo is down, however, this does appear to be completely unbreakable.
If you think you've found a way to break this combo, you're probably wrong, but please do let me know so that this stays 100% unstoppable.
This deck is second in a series that I like to call Doing Really Stupid and Occasionally Hilarious Stuff in Magic: the Series
