Starring Master Transmuter and Grand Architect as the primary enablers, we're gonna get the big guys out fast as hell with this well paced tempo artifact deck.

Pros: Acquiring fatties is fun, and this deck is very good at doing it among early turns. When you have everything you need aligned and ready, it will be very hard to lose momentum.

Cons: The deck is a well-oiled machine, if any of its parts are disrupted it can be difficult to proceed. In addition, the deck is fairly susceptible to removal. You will be a target in multiplayer formats as well.

The following is my explanation for every single spell in the deck.

Tools & necessary early game means:

  • Etherium Sculptor is desired in the starting hand in order to get generically everything out faster, and then become a prime blue creature to tap with Grand Architect.

  • Treasure Mage is also desirable to have early in order to choose which large artifact you'll need for the following turns.

  • Spellskite, great means of protection.

  • Master Transmuter, extremely efficient activated ability, generically paying only for any artifact.

  • Grand Architect, great secondary means of paying for spells, enables a turn 3 Mirrorworks when Etherium Sculptor is played the turn before him.

  • Whipflare, everything you have will live, everything they have early will die, easy way to stop progress.

Win conditions & other big things:

  • Wurmcoil Engine. Average sized, not huge but very efficient and possible to play without cheating him in even.

  • Platinum Emperion: "Defensive systems online." Opponents will spend all of their energy just trying to kill this guy. Platinum Angel also works especially if you feel like using Pact of Negation for reckless countering.

  • Blightsteel Colossus: "Targeting computer activated." I often look at this guy and wonder whether or not I should arrange the deck in a fashion that would revolve more around him. This is the single-handed most powerful artifact creature in the game, the potential to win immediately with one unblocked hit is what I'm all about.

  • Sundering Titan. Fantastic to slaughter plebeian lands, upon playing him you probably don't even need your islands if you have to declare "islands."

  • Akroma's Memorial, not key to this deck, but considering the amount of creatures, it can be very effective. It can enable the Blightsteel Colossus to swing with flying + haste and win instantly.

  • Mirrorworks. Vital for overkill. Copying anything (even when being cheated in) for only two more mana is literally invaluable. While you don't want to see more than one in your game, it is why I run 3.

Blue things:

Ideally I need Mox Opal, Glimmervoid, and maybe Oblivion Stone, but the decklist entails cards that are actually in my possession. "$$$"
