This deck was originally inspired by someone who played something much like it against me. I wanted loads of cards based on the number of swamps I have in play and as much life gain as possible (just in case).
After some playtesting, I feel like I should be able to hold off many decks that build creatures moderately fast, but I don't anticipate this will do well against aggro decks. I just don't have enough creature kill to get rid of them all.
Provided I can keep the board clean of creatures, I should be able to get Liliana up to 6 counters, which should end the game shortly after.
Dark Ritual
is the lifeblood of this deck, as it gets out
Liliana of the Dark Realms
asap, along with significantly helping with most all other spells in the deck. 2nd turn Liliana looks extra sexy.
Chainer's Edict
, to make the opponent sacrifice a creature.
Consume Spirit
,
Drain Life
, and
Tendrils of Corruption
to leech the life force from the opponent's creatures.
Drain Life
and
Consume Spirit
also play dual roles as they, along with
Exsanguinate
can steal life from opponents.
Contaminated Ground
to generally cause upset.
Liliana of the Dark Realms
, along with
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
(when in play and one or more are in hand), help to get more swamps into hand/play so that
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
and
Squelching Leeches
can get nice and nasty.
Maga, Traitor to Mortals
steals the life of your enemies to feed itself, and
Disciple of Bolas
takes the life of one of your creatures and feeds it to you, giving you goodies to go along with it.
This is currently a first draft and any suggestions are welcome.
