Trying to update the BG Constrictor archetype with the loss of Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Grasp of Darkness. With red being the best removal color in Ixalan Standard, Jund seemed like something to play with.

Mainboard seems pretty locked in - the manabase works great because we almost never need double red or black - with the exception of how many of each instant to play. Four Rishkar, Peema Renegade is also a risk (ha), but because he can either play the fast game with Snake or the grindy game by ramping up to Gearhulks, I'm at least trying the playset and seeing how it feels.

We also have a lot of trouble with Hazoret the Fervent, but so does everybody else, and the cards that deal with her all cost 4 mana. Ideally, this deck uses the addition of Servants and Rishkars to either chump block her when it matters or ramp out a Gearhulk with 6 toughness to eat Hazoret's attacks. It's not perfect, but with the absymal Grasp replacement of Walk the Plank, it's the best we've got.

The sideboard needs a little more work, but we do have defined plans against aggro (Red & Mardu), artifact combo (Gift & Reservoir) and control (Approach & Scarab God), which feels like a good start.
