Maybeboard

I was bored and started rooting around for janky infinite token combos. I came across Presence of Gond + Midnight Guard and was surprised that it wasn't in a Modern list somewhere. Splinter Twin banned and this combo is still completely absent from MTGTOP8. Maybe the reliance of support cards like Pestermite & Deceiver Exarch have everyone thinking they need to 'copy' a creature instead of token producing? Wonderfully weird to me. Anyways, this inspired me to start a build around the MiGo combo...

No idea if this could actually fly. I did my best to focus on deck synergy. The mana base is by far the biggest hurdle. It has to be taken seriously. A bad fetch will turn your game upside down.

The Rundown

Primary Combos

Presence of Gond + Midnight Guard

Intruder Alarm + Thraben Doomsayer

Secondary Combos

Elemental Mastery + Intruder Alarm + any creature other than Birds of Paradise

Support cards

Impact Tremors

Helps burn down your opponent incrementally. Pairs well with Elemental Mastery without combos on the table. Game win condition if you do have a combo in place.

Collected Company

By far, much easier to fire in lieu of Chord of Calling

Heliod's Pilgrim

Helps fetch 'auras' ie Presence of Gond & Elemental Mastery

Mass Hysteria

Gives those tokens (or tappers) haste. Much needed to remove a turn from your opponent that could drop a sweeper on you before summoning sickness wears off...

What would I change?

If I could change 1 thing with the initial build, it would be to have Elemental Mastery fire humans to super pump Champion of the Parish

Thanks for reading. If you have any suggestions or was able to give this a roll, lemme know how it went!
