Grabbing from the UW spirits deck and adding more ground power to be able to block more profitably against aggro and try to close games faster against decks with few creatures as they hit harder.
Still very early in building with 0 testing. Cards and numbers are expected to change a lot.
To explain some of the more unorthodox card choices.
Duskwatch Recruiter
is here to provide some early ground power that can flip and let us deploy our hand faster. In late game, this can serve as a pseudo card advantage with it's anticipate-like ability in a deck with so many creatures.
Lambholt Pacifist while usually a sideboard card in green decks on previous standard formats, in this deck having a 4/4 beater early is very easy while still playing on the board. Probably the best card to see in turn 2.
Spirit of the Hunt provides a little protection from some spells to our 2 cards above but also as a 3/3 beatstick for 3 we're not doing that bad. To put some icing on the cake, this is a spirit as well.
Void Grafter makes a split with Rattlechains in this deck as it can protect non-spirit creatures and blocks better.
Tamiyo, Field Researcher can provide us with some very needed card advantage to keep the cards flowing while holding the ground when things get ugly. the -2 can also be used to get the last points of damage through.
Blossoming Defense is yet another way to defend our creatures that doesn't care about creature type. Can also save them from red sweepers and help in combat or to push some last damage through.
Hermit of the Natterknolls
on the sideboard and come in to provide more card advantage when needed while forcing our opponent to play in their turn allowing our werewolves to flip and allowing us to play our flash creatures with a little more freedom.
Dusk / Dawn over Fumigate will allow some of our creatures to survive making Selfless Spirit less needed on the deck, while providing a late game way to rebuild our board with so many targets.
