Derevi is a Bant midrange deck that combines powerful, recursive tutors and recursion to develop an overwhelming board state. I'm still working on this one.

The deck works in the following phases:

SLOWING DOWN THE GAME

This deck is not particularly fast, so the first thing we need to do is slow down our opponents. Fortunately, white and blue give us access to some of the strongest stax pieces in the format. Deafening Silence. Back to Basics, and other such pieces are enough to slow down our opponents, while Derevi lets us advance our mana fast enough to develop into the midgame where we thrive.

VALUE

Birthing Pod, Prime Speaker Vannifar, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard, and Captain Sisay give us the ability to toolbox for answers and just get more cards than our opponents. Add Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle for even more value, and Derevi to use our tutors multiple times a turn.

ENDING THE GAME

Most of the time this deck wins, it's with basic beats as our opponents struggle to get their gameplan together. We do have a couple locks if needed:

Brisela, Voice of Nightmares + Gaddock Teeg turns off our opponents noncreature spells
