An overview

Okay boys and girls, this is the deck I have been waiting for... MONO BLACK COMBO! after months attempting to make Razaketh, the Foulblooded into a good deck this godsend has come to make everything better.

Starting off I say a few basic things. This is a no gimmicks deck, I will be trying to make this as good as possible without making it too expensive, I'm looking at you Lion's Eye Diamond (that is the only one I will be putting in at this price range but the deck can easily be effective without it). That said, The basic combo this deck will do every game is the undying combo it allows you to pay 1 life and draw a card. this same combo works with Nest of Scarabs , keep in mind you need two of any of these cards for the combo to work. Then from there all you need to do is balance out the life loss and you have yourself an infinite combo and likely a win. But of course this deck has a lot of other card that just go great with Yawgmoth, Thran Physician such as the plains walkers and the infect cards.

It is still very early and the likelihood that I missed some really good cards are high so please tell me any possible additions and I will add them to the maybe board and take a look at them, hopefully I can get a large card list in the maybe board for people to look at and take from. There are still some underwhelming cards in the deck now that could be replaced so this would be a great help.

The main card groups

Butcher Ghoul , Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , Nest of Scarabs , Geralf's Messenger , Genesis Chamber , Desecrated Tomb

You will likely be playing one of these three cards every game as they all turn on the pay one life draw engine. Keep in mind you will need two of any of these except nest of scarabs does not combo with Genesis Chamber or Desecrated Tomb .

Beseech the Queen , Demonic Tutor , Diabolic Intent , Diabolic Tutor , Liliana Vess , Sidisi, Undead Vizier , Vampiric Tutor

Whats mono black without a stupid amount of tutors! Most of the time you will be searching for one of the combo cards because from there you likely draw out the entire deck. but still if you don't ht something to balance out the life loss in the top 39 cards then another tutor will get you there.

Contamination , Ichor Rats , Sorin Markov , Liliana, Dreadhorde General , Liliana Vess , Exsanguinate

These cards not only get a massive amount of value from our commander but can win the game without the draw combo. Of course all but one of these include his proliferate ability witch I have not talked much about, SHOCKER is also really good. The other being contamination, yeah, I don't think I need to explain that one, and Exsanguinate in case you happen to get infinite mana.

Grave Pact , Necroskitter , Reanimate , Black Sun's Zenith , Awaken the Erstwhile , Archfiend of Ifnir , Dictate of Erebos

These cards will often put you in a great spot to control the board and take a game but on there own usually will not finish it. All of them are definitive worth including.

Deathgreeter , Dross Harvester , Zulaport Cutthroat , Blood Artist

These boys are the ones who nullify the life loss from the draw combo. Having multiple at once or just dross allows you gain infinite life and play any cards in the grave again. Speaking of witch that is why Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is in the deck, and if he gets into your hand you can just discard to proliferate.

Phyrexian Altar , Pitiless Plunderer

Not only do these ramp you but they are the main cards that will get this deck to infinite mana if you need it. While this deck usually does not need it, having it as another way to win and cast your entire deck is always good to have.

Of course this is leaving out quite a few cards, most of them being either removal, interaction, or token makers to help get the deck where it need to be. They are mostly self explained and don't need to be pointed out.

Overall

A classic mono black combo deck is always good but it can always be better. Again, please recommend any cards that I may be forgetting it always helps. As for any more expensive cards I will add them in just so I might be able to specify a competitive variant later because while this deck can win on turn 5/6 quite often, turn 3/4 is the ideal for competitive.

I may even build a budget version for those who cant afford the good tutors and win-cons. But that is only if this gets to be a popular list and I can get a good pool of card to add. So don't for get to SMASH THAT UP VOTE BUTTON! But really though it would help me make more decks for my new favorite commander card.
