Beyond the obvious style points, Tetsuo Umezawa is an affordable, Grixis-colored general who provides ample deterrent/disruption against any opponent's commanders or fatties.

Grixis is cool for EDH because it provides access to Black's ridiculous tutor selection, Dimir's moderately broken Transmute mechanic, and all of U/R's instant-speed madness. I've tried to effectively harness all three.

The win conditions are:

Deceiver Exarch + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker - Infinite token copies with haste, attack everyone for 250,000 a pop.

Deceiver Exarch + Splinter Twin - same strategy as above.

Captain of the Mists + Splinter Twin - same strategy as above.

Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker with Intruder Alarm and any other non-Legendary creature. Same strategy as above. And as long as we're on the topic of Intruder Alarm, how about an Elemental Mastery for good measure?

And that's about the size of it.
