Creature (1)

My take on a modern defender deck, that utilizes mana ramping to push out Colossus of Akros or Genesis Wave.

Reliably gets colossus(es) out in round 5-6 and monstrous the following round.

I'd love to get any tips/comments/help.

Main:

Genesis WaveThe centerpiece of the deck. When this baby hits 8 mana as X.... you're gonna see some serious shit.

Axebane Guardian + Overgrown Battlement Makes for some really strong mana gain, coupled with other cheap defenders.

Temple of Plenty, Gatecreeper Vine, Wall of Omens are there to thin out the deck and try to control the draw. It works, but could probably need some adjusting.

Perimeter Captain, Steel Wall, Stalwart Shield-Bearers, Sylvan Caryatid are the cheap walls that help increase the ramp and maintains the board until round 5-6.

Sideboard:

Coat of Arms I'd like to work in some of these somehow, but not sure if it's needed or what to take out at this point.

Angelic Wall Kept around for those pesky flying creatures.

Sample play:

Round 1: Temple of Plenty

Round 2: Plains + Overgrown Battlement

Round 3: Plains/Forest + 2 Mana cost defender, tap Overgrown Battlement for mana and play Axebane Guardian.

Round 4: Tap both mana defenders and play either a Colossus of Akros or Genesis Wave or Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, destroy/control.

Round 5: Swing to win.
