So, this was born of an idea a friend and I had when playing MTGO. With Burning-Tree Emissary giving you red mana, it seemed like we might be able to make a dip into red. Idea being: a lightning bolt is a great thing to get off of an Emissary, and it would speed up your clock and allow you to get over blockers by going for the face. That said, a red splash for bolt would probably be worth trying, but instead we're opting for a 60/40 split by adding Kird Ape and Reckless abandon for a fast clock and the ability to pseudo-fling a creature for damage. Overall I think this is worth testing to see if it's worth playing as an alternative to mono green.
