I like to think of this deck as late game aggro-control. Your creatures are big and stompy, and do stuff to your opponent's creatures until you have the board under lockdown.

Gyre Sage has incredible Ramp potential in this deck, early on triggering evolve frequently, and eventually being able to constantly grow its counter base with help from Marath, Will of the Wild

Warstorm Surge, Tyrant's Familiar, Ulvenwald Tracker, Gruul Ragebeast , and so on excel at creating scenarios in which having creatures, or playing them, actively contributes to clearing the board.

Reya Dawnbringer, Profound Journey , and Marshal's Anthem are examples of cards included to counteract the weakness of board wipes, along with Boros Charm and Faith's Reward.

Bearer of the Heavens + Faith's Reward or Bearer of the Heavens + Boros Charm are outright win conditions.

Bow of Nylea + Marath, Will of the Wild turns the commander into a tactical shotgun.

Omnath, Locus of Rage is a powerful bomb despite how few elemental there are in the deck, due both to the landfall ability, and that Marath, Will of the Wild AND the tokens he produces, are elementals, allowing you to swarm the board reliably with 1/1 elementals to trigger Omnath's effect with.
