This is a riff on the mono-black devotion decks out there for standard, but modified to work a little better in two-headed giant.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel is an even better finisher in two-headed giant than it is in standard and is the stand-out card of any mono-black deck.

Changes from the standard mono-black decks are:

-4 Thoughtseize - I don't have any and they are pretty expensive

-4 Mutavault - Again I don't have any, but this would be the first thing to go back in if I can trade for them

+4 Crypt Ghast - Can facilitate maximum devotion by giving you the mana to cast nightviel specter and Gray Merchant of Asphodel in the same turn, for example, plus that little bit of extort which works well in 2HG

+2 Rise of the Dark Realms - A late game finisher, especially with 4 graveyards and Gray Merchant of Asphodel in yours (or if you are against mono-black in their's too!)

With Crypt Ghast out, Rise of the Dark Realms only needs 5 lands (incl. at least 4 swamps), which is pretty darn cheap

I am partnering with a noncreature spell-heavy Izzet aggro deck. In most cases if he gets a good start, the opponents will be toast in fairly short order. This deck is designed to cover the mid-range and further in case the main game plan doesn't work.
