When I was brace-faced 12 year old, my dad and I went out to the backyard to throw a baseball around as I had been playing in a local youth league for the past couple of months. It was dark out so we turned on the lights on the porch. He lobbed the ball up for me to catch and I lost it in the porch lights. Lucky for me the ball still connected, but with my upper lip wherein my braces would swiftly imprint a jagged relief, ready to gush blood out onto the lawn.

And that's where I got the inspiration for this deck.

Surtland Flinger , to me, is a pretty funny card in terms of flavor, so why not throw a Surtland Elementalist at someone for 16 damage? Or, better yet, Unleash Fury that big blue boy and hit em for 32.

The curve? Don't worry, we have Invasion of the Giants which, if dropped on turn 2, can give us a flinger turn 4 with enough left over for an Opt or Glimpse the Cosmos from the graveyard OR 7 other giants for just 2 mana with the extra 2 left open for a nice Squash .

Opponent thinks we're too slow and runs a bunch of small stuff out early? We can stay calm but stabilizing with a couple of low cost giants and sweep their side of the board with a Battle of Frost and Fire . In the meantime, we can even squish one of their little dudes with a Basalt Ravager etb effect.

Tectonic Giant is just great, it can start a clock with its first ability or give us a pseudo-draw with its second.
