Doing venture stuff! Playtesting, comment on what you would add/cut.

The goal is to turbo venture!

I highly recommend to get Ghostly Flicker/Ephemerate to target Stonehorn Dignitary and Veteran Dungeoneer to turbo-venture and prevent your opponents combat step. This will help with slowing your opponent's damage down while allowing you to get more threats down to go wide.

There aren't that many venture cards available at 2 and 3 CMC so make sure you keep a good starting hand that you'll be able to stall until you get a decent mana base.

Faerie Seer might seem random but it combos well for digging for the proper threats and helping your deadly dispute be more valuable.

Tomb Of Annihilation I recommend always going here. If you can get a start without taking much damage then I recommend going through this dungeon and going down the left rooms. The reasoning for this is that clearing Tomb will "usually" result in your opponent taking the 5 life and you create an additional threat to go wide. Don't forget to flicker some Dawnbringer Cleric to get your life back since you both lose life in 2 of the 4 rooms.

Dungeon of the Mad Mage Pauper can get out of control quickly and this dungeon (I feel) is too slow to complete. You want to finish dungeons to get your Precipitous Drop to kill bigger threats while you venture. There also isn't anything that really needs to be cast for free.

Lost Mine of Phandelver This dungeon feels somewhat mediocre but can come in clutch sometimes. Getting a temp blocker or making treasure is nice to stall/get yourself ahead. Personally, I go the treasure route to start dumping more creatures down and then go into the Fungi Cavern to stop a creature for a turn.

Work in progress notes

  1. I would add a planar ally to the deck but it's 5 CMC 3/3 and dies to a bolt.
  2. Looking for better 2 cmc creatures
  3. The sideboard is just random cards I thought were good for this type of playstyle.
  4. Still figuring out the lands and if I should cut ash barrens for the new obscura lands. I like running both for deck thinning to ensure you hit more threats
  5. Probably needs more removal in mainboard so feel free to switch stuff up
