Creature (2)

Been having some great success with this deck as I've tweaked it from a purely Zombie tribal to a more resilient midrange deck. The focus of the deck is to hit fast with lower drops, using them in later rounds as they're boosted or sac'd by others. Let's take a deeper dive.

The Creatures

Bloodsoaked Champion - A 2/1 1-drop that keeps coming back. No-brainer for a deck like this.

Ruthless Ripper - Rounds out our 1-drops and serves as a great blocker with deathtouch. Also some additional damage if I choose to flip her.

Despoiler of Souls - Similar to Bloodsoaked, he hits hard for his drop and can keep coming back. Also works well in conjunction with a card to be mentioned later.

Brain Maggot - Allows me to mitigate a threat early on while still swinging for minimal damage early in the game. I'm enjoying using this so far.

Fleshbag Marauder - Serves as the only removal in MB. As a 3-drop, I can swing with a lower drop then introduce Fleshbag to keep the board clear of any early threats. With my lower drops, the loss to me will be minimal.

Master of the Feast - The card advantage does hurt, but the goal is to get out of this game quickly. Even with card advantage, the opponent typically doesn't have the resources necessary to remove Master before we want the game to be over.

Liliana, Heretical Healer   - Obvious choice for this deck. With all the sacc'ing/reviving creatures, she's incredibly easy to flip and blends perfectly with the gameplan.

Grim Haruspex - Low drop that provides plenty of card advantage, given this deck full of creatures I don't mind losing. Helps even the odds in case Master is dropped, as well.

Mogis's Marauder - An alternative win-con for the deck. Worst case scenario, can swing for a heavy 7-8 in an early round and cripple the opponent early. If he topdecks later in the game, combo'ing Mogis with Obelisk is just stupid.

Erebos's Titan - My favorite new card from Origins. I started with 2 and quickly bumped to 4 of him in this deck. He hits hard, comes back, and is indestructible when the opponent has no one else out there.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier - Very resilient, triggers Lili easily, and helps me find Obeliesk or Whip when I need it. Must have.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel - Another alternative win-con. I began this deck with 4 of him in there, but quickly realized he was a bit heavy of a drop and didn't always benefit me as much as I'd like for a 5-drop. Still, he's amazing in the right scenario.

Archfiend of Depravity - This guy is great as a surprise or very useful to find via Sidisi. Creature advantage on the battlefield is huge for this deck, and Archfiend provides just that (and he hits hard).

Soul of Innistrad - Same as above, he's a wonderful 1-of. His ability to bring creatures back becomes absolutely huge in the late game, especially since he functions even from the GY.

The Others

Whip of Erebos - Works wonderfully with many of my creatures: Liliana, Sidisi, Fleshbag Marauder. The lifelink, obviously, is a nice bonus.

Corpseweft - Fantastic card that helps pave the way for Risen Executioner while also adapting to any situation. I can tap a couple times for a few extra blockers, or tap once and ditch a few cards for a big hitter or blocker.

I love this deck, but am always looking to refine it (to a fault). Please let me know what you think about MB or SB and +1 if you think it has what it takes.
