Months ago I set myself the goal to create a functioning Mono-black-vintage-frame-pauper-deck and I can finally say that I achieved this goal! Why? Because I really love the way the oldshool black cards look and because my friends only play pauper. It was quite a hard task but this is what I came up with.

How does it work? Gain Mana quick with Dark Ritual and artifacts. Gain Life with Pristine Talisman and Bottle Gnomes. Once you pull either a pestilence or a crypt rat, you can go all in to wipe the whole board. Strong creatures are no match against a combination of 1 damage from Pestilence and a 1{B} Fatal Blow. Enchant the opponents strongest creatures with Binding Agony to add double or even tripple the damage to your opponent. Having two agonys in play? Spend 5{B} and you get 5 damage while your opponent drops to 10.

This deck might not feature the best card options, but I think I selected a good, affordable libary from the very limited pool of black, old frame, pauper cards. You can always improve on this deck by adding a few of the more expensive cards like Unearth or Bubbling Muck. Tell me what you think about this project! :)
