Another Legacy deck that I want to build but i can't afford. THAT'S WHAT TAPPEDOUTS FOR!Anyway, this deck does a lot of things, but all of them are based around Life from the Loam, an amazing card when it comes to land. The deck is able to mana screw, bring out Marit Large, and control the opposing board.

Utility Show

-Life from the LoamThis is key. Nearly your whole deck is lands, so he dredge is almost helping. Dredge, then pick them back up again, repeat. This leads to getting all your good lands in your hand. Pretty much your whole engine. Need this in your hand (or Gamble)-ExplorationHelps you get more lands out faster. If you have loam running, you could be destroying lands twice a turn with Wasteland. Also almost essential in opening hand.-GambleTutor. What else is there to say?-Urborg, Tomb of YawgmothMakes all those lands that don't tap for mana, tap for mana.-Mox DiamondStaple Ramp. First turn life from the loam, etc.

DAT MARIT LAGE THOUGH Show

-Dark Depths What else? If you don't know this card MY GOD LOOK IT UP-Thespian's StageThis ones evident. Pretty much, the Thespian's Stage copies the Dark Depths, and since it didn't enter the battlefield with the counters, it automatically triggers the sacrifice trigger. However, before this resolves, the 'legendary rule' goes on the stack (no legendary card can have two of itself on the field), so you choose the original Dark Depths to sacrifice. Then the Marit Lage trigger activates, you sacrifice the Thespian's Stage and get a 20/20, flying, indestructible.-Vampire HexmageRemove the Ice Counters from Dark Depths. Simple.

Grove of the Burnwillows + Punishing Fire Interaction Show

Well. This one is special. Pretty much, you pay for the punishing fire, kill some early game critters (before you have set up some land screwers), then tap Grove of the Burnwillows for red, the opponent gains a life, use the red to get punishing fire back. Repeat.

LOOK I SUCK AT SIDEBOARDS. Pretty much different combinations to deal with different decks (more creature dealing for more creatures etc.)
