Creature (200)

Maybeboard

A deck centered around goofy combos.

If you are looking to build the most competitive deck possible in these colors, look elsewhere. Johnnys only need apply.

Magic is a really cool game! I want to break that really cool game in really cool ways. Mission statement for this list: win in the silliest way possible.

Classic Combos in this deck include Ad Nauseam + Angel's Grace and Dark Depths + Vampire Hexmage . New School Combos include Fractured Identity + Phage the Untouchable and Demonic Pact + Donate .

Win Conditions

Fractured Identity + Phage the Untouchable or Donate + Faerie Artisans + Phage the Untouchable

This method seeks to abuse Phage the Untouchable's first line of text: "When Phage the Untouchable enters the battlefield, if you didn't cast it from your hand, you lose the game."

I assume this line of text was originally intended to put a safeguard on reanimating your phage early in the game before your opponent got blockers out. However, this also means that if we can forcibly create a token copy of Phage on our opponent's side of the field, this ability will trigger and cause them to lose the game.

To do so, we have two methods at our disposal:

Method 1: Fractured Identity + Phage the Untouchable

To execute this combo, we simply have to have Phage on board under our control and then cast Fractured Identity targeting it. This creates a token copy of Phage for each opponent, which triggers Phage's first line of text because it wasn't cast from hand.

Bonus points if you can manage:

Casting this combo at instant speed with Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery .

Casting this combo on turn 6 with the help of a Mirari's Wake .

Method 2: Donate + Faerie Artisans + Phage the Untouchable

This method is a bit more roundabout than method 1, but equally hilarious (if not more so). The important thing to note about Faerie Artisans is that its triggered ability is NOT a "may" clause. Its controller MUST create a copy of any creature entering the battlefield... even if that creature is Phage.

Simple line of play. Cast Faerie Artisans , Donate it to an opponent, cast Phage the Untouchable . Faerie Artisans triggers, creating a token copy of Phage on the battlefield under that opponent's control. Phage triggers, they lose the game.

Unfortunately, this only blows out a single opponent. Use as a backup plan or against a particularly threatening opponent.

Barren Glory + Kaervek's Spite + Leyline of Anticipation

or Barren Glory + Kaervek's Spite + Vedalken Orrery

The aim here is to cast Barren Glory at instant speed on somebody else's end step, then retain priority and respond by casting Kaervek's Spite . By the time Barren Glory resolves, you won't have a hand or control any permanents. Move to your upkeep and win.

Battle of Wits + Spawnsire of Ulamog + Terminus

This is the most ambitious combo in an already unrealistically ambitious deck. Bear with me here:

Step One: Cast Battle of Wits .

Step Two: Cast Spawnsire of Ulamog . We don't really care about anything other than this card's 20 mana activated ability.

Step Three: Activate Spawnsire's 20 mana activated ability. Put 200 Eldrazi you own from outside the game onto the battlefield. It doesn't really matter what they are; I use the card Tide Drifter so I'm not tempted to swing in for lethal damage and spoil the combo.

Step Four: Cast Terminus with 200 Eldrazi creatures on the battlefield. You now have a 200+ card deck.

Step Five: Move to your upkeep, triggering Battle of Wits .

DISCLAIMER: Make sure your playgroup is on board with sideboard/wishboarding in commander beforehand.
