There is no such a thing as "a normal day in a wizards library". I came there looking for a spell Polymorphist's Jest, and this is what i found:

If you are a newcomer they will make you remain silent there: Censor, because if you read a book in a wrong way you may turn youself into a frog Turn to Frog, cast a guided fire ball Redirect, or make the books fly away Idle Thoughts puting more lives at risk. You can even make all library vanish out of thin air if you dont know what you are doing Circular Logic. Its a dnagerous place, so there are some restrictions. If you pick a book with no permission you can get yourself covered with slime for a month (read Slimebind text).

And those are not the only dangers you will face. There are many excentric visitors Curious Homunculus  , Faerie Vandal, and not everything is as it seems: Delver of Secrets  , Insectile Aberration. So dont expect friendship from anyone Faerie Duelist.

All I can say is "be aware", and with luck you can get youserlf out of there with what you want, and still alive or mentally sane Perilous Research.
