So I absolutely loved Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper from the moment he was spoiled. I have tried to break him every which way with little luck, and finally decided that the best way to break his ability was in commander. But how? How do you continually cast instant and sorcery spells without painted a giant target on yourself for the other players. The answer? Don't let them cast anything!

The vast majority of this deck is comprised of counter spells. I am painfully aware of a few that I am missing, such as Cryptic Command, but I hope to gather those over time.

The goal here is to get Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper onto the field, then counter everything big and scary that your friends try to play. This turns your lands into creatures, so we have a few support cards for that. Terra Eternal,Halimar Tidecaller, and Abzan Falconer all abuse the fact that our lands have +1/+1 counters on them. Flying indestructible lands you say? That's great! What else? Planar Birth when they target our lands with spells. Darksteel Citadel can take on all the counters and is indestructible in its own right.

Finally, you know what happens when your deck is all counter spells and you have Guile out? All of your opponent's spells become yours! Oh you're casting your commander? I think I'll take that... Planeswalker? I'll take that too!

You're friends are sure to hate you and this deck after you kill them all with your 9/9 lands. Oh, and the board was empty because you cast Planar Cleansing before attacking, which kills everything except for, you guessed it, lands!
