Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Phyrexian Unlife is the main combo in this deck. It makes you immune to damage. If you splash this in an abzan deck you get this cozy brew.

Most of the modern abzan decks have Siege Rhino in the mainboard because its awesome. However I use Tarmogoyf instead of Rhino in the main board for a possible fast kill. If you are up against a grindy midrange deck you can always side in the rhino.

"The swords" A way to power up your creatures and make them hard to kill.

Rebuff the Wicked To protect your permanents. (Phyrexian Unlife)

Path to Exile, Abrupt Decay and Maelstrom Pulse The removals.

Thoughtseize To slow down your opponent.

Eiganjo Castle To protect Melira, Sylvok Outcast from burnspells.
