Melira, Sylvok Outcast is the key card that works with the persist mechanic. A creature with Persist when it dies, comes back to the battlefield, with a -1/-1 counter on it; Melira, Sylvok Outcast prevents those -1/-1 counters.

The two creatures in this deck that use the persist mechanic are: Kitchen Finks and Murderous Redcap.

In order for the combos to successfully work, you need a sacrifice outlet. This deck has two creatures that are used for this purpose, these being: Viscera Seer, which also uses the scry mechanic to help find key components and Bloodthrone Vampire, which gains +2/+2 each time a creature is sacrificed.

Chord of Calling is used to tutor for any creature I need to make the combo.

Abrupt Decay and Mortify are there to deal with any threats.

Some cards that fit the "win more" strategy include Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, which gets bolstered everytime a creature enters the battlefield, which most of the time will be a creature with persist. Siege Rhino is an Abzan staple and helps tremendously. Lastly, Whip of Erebos provides lifelink and can retrieve a combo piece in an emergency (probably Melira, Sylvok Outcast).
