Acharne is a French word to describe a fierce or desperate battle, which fits this deck's Zendikar flavor well. (Disclaimer: I do not speak French or know a lot of French words that other people don't. "Long words that begin with A" is the first thing on my search history.)
Amazing Alliterations Aside, this is a Boros Ally/Artifact deck. I'll jump straight into the role of each card. I'm open to any suggestions, but I orefer to stick with my R/W color scheme. Thanks!
Expedition Envoy- It's a 2/1 Ally for one mana. Enough said about this one, it's just good.
Makindi Aeronaut- This is my early game flying creature, good for blocking and doing some light damage in the first couple turns, especially when equipped.
Weapons Trainer- A 3/2 for 2 mana is already decent, but on top of that, with 8 equipment cards it'll probably be buffing all my other creatures. 1/1s become 2/1s and 2/2s become 3/2s. While it's a small boost, it still helps to make creatures much more aggressive and force your opponents to deal with them.
Stone Haven Outfitter- Buffs equipped creatures even more and provides a nice card draw when they die. Overall just a good card, especially for equipment decks.
Makindi Patrol, Lantern Scout, Firemantle Mage, Kor Bladewhirl- Grouping these guys together because they more or less function in the same way. They give all your creatures Vigilance or Lifelink or Menace or first strike pretty much every turn because of Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Captain's Claws. None of these are essential to the deck, but I'm running 2 of each because they're all helpful.
Angelic Captain- The deck's biggest bomb, and the one that'll likely kill your opponent. Equip it with artifacts for those buffs + the buffs from Weapons Trainer and Stone Haven Outfitter and then attack with everything. Every creature in this deck is an ally so if you have a lot of creatures you can do an absurd amount of damage.
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar- Every one of Gideon's abilities is great in this deck. His +1 adds a lot of pressure when you're swinging and gives Angelic Captain another +1/+1. The +0 triggers Rally abilities and creates another creature for stoneforge masterwork to work from. Finally, his -4 can increase your pressure by a ton and helps you kill your opponent much faster.
Captain's Claws- One of the best standard equipment cards imo. It buffs a creature a small amount, but more importantly it creates allies! That means that all of your rally abilities are going to be triggered every time the equipped creature attacks, and becuase it's summoned tapped and attacking it also buffs Angelic Captain.
Stoneforge Masterwork- +1/+1 for each creature sharing a type. Every creature in the deck is an ally. Because of this, it ends up being a massive buff.
Sword of the Animist- Less good buff that claws and masterwork, but it allows you to get lands out faster and thin out your deck to get to the best cards faster.
Silkwrap and Stasis Snare- The deck's removal. The combination of both hits every non-hexproof creature in standard. Not much to explain, just a couple of good removal cards.
Sideboard
Boiling Earth- Pretty cheap and wipes large groups of goblins and thopters.
Dazzling Reflection- Can completely shut down decks that rely on buffing a single creature. Nantuko Husk and Stormchaser Mage come to mind.
Hallowed Moonlight- Stops Eldrazi Displacer from flickering Reflector Mage and other things like that. The combo above is big at the store I go to so it's mainly to deal with that.
Hedron Blade- An extra artifact to use against Eldrazi decks. Giving stuff deathtouch against Eldrazi is more than worth a few sideboard slots, especially considering how powerful Eldrazi are right now.
Silkwrap, Stasis Snare, and Surge of Righteousness- Extra Removal, self explanatory.
