Thousand Year Storm Combo

This deck is loosely based upon SaffronOlive's Against the Odds deck, particularly the Thousand-Year Storm & Brass's Bounty combo kill. Rather than splashing black for Discovery / Dispersal, this deck sticks to Izzet colors to utilize Risk Factor for more burn/card draw and Expansion / Explosion, which provides ways to copy our burn and draw spells earlier in the game. This is particularly useful if we need to take care of a big creature that comes down turns 3-6 before Thousand-Year Storm is online.

The second half of Expansion / Explosion is just as important to the deck. With Thousand-Year Storm already on the table, just imagine the sequence of Opt into Brass's Bounty (+1 copy) into Expansion / Explosion (+2 copies) where X is 12 (16 treasures)! This draws us over half our deck and deals 36 damage straight to the opponents face. Even without this magical-christmas-land sequence, there are plenty of combos that burn out the opponent in a single storm turn.

As far as the sideboard, there is Negate for control matchups, Sentinel Totem for graveyard decks, and Fiery Cannonade for go-wide/token strategies. I also include 2 copies each of Crackling Drake and Enigma Drake to bring in against decks with lots of enchantment removal and to take advantage of opponents taking out their creature removal during sideboarding.
