This is just a fun Bant allies deck that I'm building for Kitchen Table Casual! If you like the deck feel free to build it yourself and tell me how it goes! Suggestions are certainly welcome. :)
Ideal starting hand is Shockland -> Hada Freeblade ->Shockland -> Harabaz Druid and then really any other combination of allies afterwards.
Creatures!
Kazandu Blademaster is my ally of choice, first strike vigilance on a 2/2 who grows is insane. Ondu Clerics, if they last, will net you high health, and helps stall until you can swing hard. Turntimber Ranger makes wolves. Lots of them. Talus makes huge life swings. Jwari copies your best ally on the field. Seagate gets you cards you NEED. Seriously, with Harabaz Druid out, you'll be throwing up cards all over the board, you need this draw engine! Evangel is usually your "win-con" in a sense, as he essentially makes your creatures unblockable (or at least mostly depending on your opponents field) and allow you the killing blow!
Moving on to the non-creatures...
Lands!
Land is mostly just what I have, but, evenly divided shocklands, with Flooded Strand to mana fix. You'll usually have your green mana. Feel free to switch it out for other sac-lands or whatever you'd like! If you have more, use more! Gavony Township makes your creatures bigger. Harabaz Druid makes it happen every turn! Cavern of Souls makes putting more allies out even more beneficial than before. Who knew that was even possible.
Spells!
Descendants' Path.... You're going to be putting allies on the field. :D Ghostway is a GREAT evasion for your board AND allows you to make all of those ETB effects go off all at once. If you sideboard in Halimar, it's gg right then and there. Death or Glory is a fun way to bring back any allies that may have died, Return to the Ranks is a great replacement instead, but I like my Glory. Swords to Plowshares makes it so your don't have to deal with annoying creatures or game-threatening titans. Sure they gain a sizable amount of health, but your allies won't worry too much about that.
Sideboard:
Venser is a great way to add good control against your opponent, as well as set off those ETB effects! Cloudshift is great creature protection and set off ETB!
Halimar Excavator
is an alt-win-con. Have an opponent who's gaining way too much life? Mill them instead! Garruk, CoB is an amazing way to draw your allies and put more on the field in a pinch! Oblivion Ring, one of my favorite removals. Exiles any permanent that may be causing you annoyance!
Reprisal
deals with any dragons or titans or other fatties that may be giving your game a hard time.
MAYBEBOARD?:
Brago - Sets off allies everytime he attacks, with pseudo-vig. Conjurer's Closet - Like I said. ETB.Gideon - One of my favorite planeswalkers, doesn't interact with allies, but protects them and swings with them. Useful, but not necessarily even sideboard material here.Oblivion RIng - Maybe include more? Return to the Ranks - Great Alternative to Death or Glory... Probably your better choice, tbh. Xenograft - Send those wolf tokens into infinity!
