Advocate of Nylea (Feedback Wanted)

Standard Counters GU (Simic) Theme/Gimmick

Sideboard

When Advocate of the Beast was introduced, I automatically began to think of ideas to manipulate its ability. When I see specific abilities, I always like creating decks around them.

This deck fouces on +1/+1 counter manipulation. The main focus of this deck is using Advocate of the Beast to put counters on the other beasts. To help with more counter craziness Renegade Krasis is there. Not only is he a beast, but many of the later cards can trigger his evolve ability. When synched with the coutners put on via Advocate of the Beast , the other beasts will continue to get stronger. Master Biomancer can help get more counters on other creatures as well as trigger evolve for Renegade Krasis. If this still isn't enough, then Nylea, God of the Hunt can give these beasts trample and run right thru the competition.

The blue spells are here to offer some utility. Jace, Memory Adept can help with drawing cards, but milling 10 cards also can work in favor and can offer an alternative win strategy. Spells like Dissolve, Rapid Hybridization, Plasm Capture, and Simic Charm can help to keep the battlefield in my favor.

I would love any suggestions that you guys could give me for this deck. Also this deck needs a sideboard, so any suggestions for that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Actually did very well at FNM this week. Wasn't sure how it would turn out but going 3-2 is pretty damn good for a fairly new deck.

Game 1 (2-0) Dimir Control Deck? Not entirely sure what the theme was for this deck as t seemed to have been very random. Wasn't even trying and ended up winning thanks to Kalonian Tusker/Kalonian Hydra combo.

Game 2 (0-2) Golgari Control Deck This deck was just way too quick for me to catch up with. Whenever I would get any creature out, a Doom Blade or putrify would immediatly destroy it. Adding the spell interrupts and Simic Charms from my SB did not help at all. Must figure out a good sideboard against a kill spell heavy deck.

Game 3 (0-2) Gruul Bloodrush Deck I have played against this deck before but since it was modified it became a lot faster. Essentially got shut down by a Deadly Recluse and Kalonian Tusker with five million bloodrush spells casted on them. The Fogs saved me a few times from my SB, but I was getting extremely unlucky with lands as I kept getting flooded.

Game 4 (2-1) Tribal Sliver Deck This was just like every sliver deck that I had played with in the past. Our decks were about evenly paced but I was able to pull ahead thanks to my opponite not being able to deal with a 36/36 Kalonian Hydra.

Game 5 (2-1) Azorius Enchantment Deck. This deck was so cool that I almost wanted to create a version of it. It's very rare to say that I got destroyed by a Cloudfin Raptor with many enchantments on who can also gain life thanks to the ordeals placed on him as well. As soon as I added in enchantment removal from my SB, it was easily able to shut down the deck and my Renegade Krasis along with Kalonian Hydra was easily able to finish him off.
