Grixis Control Shell with mid range thopter production to close out the game.Early Game is all about control. If you have Yahenni's Expertise or Radiant Flames hold onto them and lay waste to whatever your opponent regretfully will drop on the board. Ruinous Path to get rid of any pesky creatures with power greater than 3 or use it to say sayonara to your opponents Planeswalker(s). Mid to late game you should have successfully shut down your opponents "advantage" and now it is time to make your move. Drop Decoction Module + Era of Innovation when you can at a point that wont screw you over. I cannot tell you when exactly to drop it but you'll know when the opportunity arises. We want to drop those because they are very important to our combo with Whirler Virtuoso. With Decoction Module + Era of Innovation on the board, every time an artificer (or more importantly) an artifact enters the battlefield, we are given the opportunity to pay and produce two from Era of Innovation , as well as producing one from the Decoction Module thus netting us three in total which can then be used to pump out a thopter from Whirler Virtuoso. Now you see where I'm going with this, or at least you should! You have stunted your opponents board status by denying them creatures and planeswalkers. Now you have a combo that lets you drop thopters equal to the amount of mana you have. That can be dangerous late game if you drop 8 thopters on their end step because they were to scared that you were gonna counter whatever they played. It gives you an unfair advantage when you get inside your opponents head like that. Give them the choice of hmm... 2-4 thopters a turn or 8 thopters a turn? Of course, when you decide to start dropping thopters, do it fast and hard so they can't recover and just beat their face with a bunch of flying 1/1's!
