NOTE: A redesign is in the works. I'm attempting a version that has plenty of cheap burn/kill spells to keep the opponent at bay while the wolves arrive.

After several failed attempts at making a competitive standard werewolves deck, I tried the modern route. Aether Vial lets the wolves transform almost immediately, and an opening hand with Aether Vial and one or two Mayor of Avabruck   can end the game very quickly. Ideally, you'll want to have an Aether Vial at 2 counters and another at 4 as soon as possible, as that will allow you to play out your wolves. There are enough creatures in the deck that Lead the Stampede almost never misses.

I haven't come up with a sideboard yet, but I will if I decide to try this deck in a tournament.
