Can Competitive Hub truly be used in this?! :)

The deck was initially thought of by looking to The Best $20 You'll Ever Spend -- KTK, as I needed to start cheap! :)Thanks to Arorsthrar!

it then evolved with following guidelines:*updates of 04/10 - not so much mono-block in my meta! :)

Creature (24)

3x Akroan Crusader > must have to create tokens, although I would not run 4 because you need to put all your game upfront (before attacking) - and I am not fan of enchantments

4x Firedrinker Satyr > best card in red for aggro.. but despite 1 drop and growth to kill it dies to 1/1. *this is really the aggro card that each deck needs! surely up to 4 of them!

3x Foundry Street Denizen > my least favorite card, but runs in all aggro's mono-coloured red... I reckon it is great to grow but dies to 1/1

3x Frenzied Goblin > why running enchantments / spells when this attacker can do the trick?(expertise needed here!)

2x Goblin Rabblemaster > not sure I'd keep this guy for a turn 5 (MAX) kill, but it has so much potential.. *definitely running 2 or 3 of these! I was lucky to get them in 6 out of 9 games, and it is awesome.. pity it is now @ 20 USD! =/

4x Monastery Swiftspear > to me, another best red aggro card from KTK. must have 4!

2x Mogis's Warhound > not my favourite card, but supports the board wipe and pumping - which does not fall, even if my weenie red dies. would go out over Altac Bloodseeker, if I can remove loads from opponent creatures (mainly aggro)

4x War-Name Aspirant > great card all-round in red aggro decks - 3power for 2 CMC. *the non-block by 1 power or less does help; increased to 4!

Instant (16)

2x Coordinated Assault >> I reckon best card agaisnt aggro! not only prowess / heroic triggers, but first strike will save your minions!! :) or at least that's the idea!update: *only works against other aggro.. which I didn't see much yet! reducing from 4 to 2 (+1 in SB)

2x Magma Jet > removing Lightning Strike for Magma Jet.. despite the additional burn in Lightning, the benefit of Scry - in a rush deck, cannot be understated!

3x Stoke the Flames > it seems everyone is running Butcher of the Horde.. Courser was already known of, and still some Devotion Green around. must MB thisupdate: *adding 3 as also a great game winner, even when you're down to 0 creatures (Drown in Sorrow just happened!)

3x Searing Blood > awesome removal / burn. allied to Coordinated Assault (1st strike), goes like your 5/5 trample dies and my 1/2 Monastery Swiftspear lives. did I mention you lose 3 lives in the process? :)

4x Titan's Strength > best red aggro pump, with Scry

1x Hall of Triumph > thinking if staple here.. will give it a chance, as I own 1.

1x Hammer of Purphoros > not a staple in MB, but with so much burn in my meta I'll give a try to this. SB+1 to include if major board wipes, and need to increase chances to draw

Land (18)

19x Mountain > minimum of 18 lands, given all 3 and 4 cmc.update: *added to 19, which won me the game - with Hammer of Purphoros, after board wipe!I did read that the Fetch Lands would work wonders in aggro.. but that's killing my wallet. (I'd put 8 fetch for Mountains if I can)

Sideboard (15)

2x Altac Bloodseeker > I think this guy has great potential - including first strike (and possible haste), and with 8 removal spells - I'll give it a try against aggro decks

1x Coordinated Assault > proper for Aggro. Would remove the [Stoke the Flames] most likely.

2x Phyrexian Revoker > probably worst card in SB (given all Deck logic), but I reckon must have. with so many abilities in KTK, this may prove worthy. would take out at least one Foundry Street Denizen and / or Frenzied Goblin

2x Scouring Sands > mono-black and pesky white / blue flyers. I think it is a need in SB. would take out Lightning Strike not to reduce creature count.

3x Trumpet Blast > When playing offensive and limited blockers, I reckon I need to Attack to kill! to consider against green devotion.I'd put Trumpet Blast instead of Lightning Strike / Searing Blood, depending on type of green opponent's deck!

1x Hammer of Purphoros > explained in the MB, would come in for Hall of Triumph perhaps, against massive removal decks

2x Magma Spray > on for Stoke the Flames, against faster aggro decks

2x Act of Treason > making it to SB to gain control of big creatures on ramp decks and/or some Temur based or lifelink oponnent decks

REMOVED:3x Tormenting Voice > not my favourite SB card, but the only draw power card I could find. This could come in for match up decks (possibly taking out the Hammer/Frenzied Goblin), or perhaps control U decks.. will need to give it a try.( Aggressive Mining and Act on Impulse - from my point of view - would not work)

Open to all suggestions for improvement ! ! !

alright, so this was my first try with mono-red in Standard and could have done better:

1st round: Loss to Mardu Butcher + Rabble 1-0; 1-1; 1-2 (opponent left with 1 life and I didn't get any 'shock' for 2 turns (it was going to be my next turn draw card)

2nd round: Win to Minotaur Deck 1-0 (5TurnKO); 1-1; 2-1 (it was unexpected to have so many problems, but there was so much shocking / board cleaning that it just made my game much harder - props to Arc Lightning used by opponent very effectively

3rd round: 1-0 (4TurnKO); 2-0 this was more of a breeze has playing against Cromanticore deck.
