I wanted to create a Equipment Tiny Leaders around Sram, Senior Edificer, but soon found I wanted access to red for Akiri, Line-Slinger *f-etch*. Her Partner ability made me play 4 colours with Reyhan, Last of the Abzan *f-etch* as co-commander. I rarely play Reyhan, however.

At first I thought this would never be viable, playing 4 colours and all, but I found that the generic mana needed for artifacts gave me a lot of room for creativity. I play a lot of lands that provide mana of any colour, and with all the artifacts around I even have access to Spire of Industry, Glimmervoid and Mox Opal! On top of that, Bloom Tender can sometimes generate a whopping on turn 2, while Ancient Tomb can easily drop expensive equipments on turn 2 already. But maybe one of the cards I have enjoyed the most is Path of Ancestry. Not only does it freely (after one turn at least) provide mana of any color, it also lets me scry 1 when I cast any of those 5 creature types with it: Kor Soldier Ally Human Warrior. 9 out of the 13 non-commander creatures are of at least one of those types, so that is a nice bonus :)

So how does it play? I am trying to create very lethal creatures through very lethal equipments. It's always a bit ambiguous to choose which are the best equipments for the deck. That just also really depends on your opponents and what they play, but I try to focus on protecting my creatures as much as I can. Why? Because me creatures will be a lot more dangerous than my opponent's creatures. Through lifegain I hope to stay on the winning side if things look grim. Occasionally you lose a game when your opponent has something very lethal and you just wish you played a copy of Swords to Plowshares, but I find it's much more rewarding to keep your big Akiri, Line-Slinger *f-etch* or Swiftblade Vindicator in the land of the living.
