The Titan erupted from the
Eye of Ugin
, it's massive body casting a shadow over all of Zendikar. From the very ground of the world spawned the giant's brood. They surged forward, ready to feast upon their Master's prison, and so the consumption of the world had begun.
Hello and Welcome to Atarka's weekly brew, where I set out a deck for the whole internet to see and meddle with. For today we shall dive into my first Brew for you to see. This deck is one that uses my favorite Mechanics: Ingest and Process. Process is what I like to call the eldrazi' ability to perform abilities by taking cards from exile and sticking them into your opponent's graveyard.
The main strategy of this deck is to get a bunch of cards into your opponent's exile zone and use processors to take advantage of them, before we finish the game out with our larger eldrazi.
In the early game we use cards like
Sludge Crawler
and
Mist Intruder
to ingest a small chunk of our opponent's deck. The crawler can be very aggressive when it wants to be, while
Mist Intruder
and Benthic Infiltrator evade being blocked and get more of your opponent's deck ingested.
Our processors then take advantage of our newfound spoils, tipping the balance in our favor. Wasteland Strangler gets rid of early aggression, while
Cryptic Cruiser
and
Oracle of Dust
help us break through or dig for answers. Blight Herder helps us swarm our opponent and get our fatties out quickly, while also providing much needed blockers when we are facing off against aggro or tokens.
Our last creatures are our game enders, monsters that close out the game soon after they hit the field or others that search for them. Conduit of Ruin helps us find our baddies and get them out, while Bane of Bala Ged and
Breaker of Armies
help us beat our opponent to death. Void Winnower stops pesky board wipes such as Wrath of God and
Damnation
and those darn
Siege Rhino
s, while Sire of Stagnation helps us fight control and draw more cards.
Horribly Awry
, Transgress the Mind and Reality Shift help us control the field and game while fueling our processors as well. And
All Is Dust
wipes away any resistance our opponents may have given us, allowing us to swing in for lethal.
Well that is the deck, and please keep in mind that I made this deck to be a very casual and fun deck to play, while also being cheap to construct. Please give this deck a +1 and leave a comment, as all suggestions are very much welcome. Have a Nice day and may you draw well.
